Geographical Indications

A geographical indication (GI) is a sign used on products that have a specific geographical origin and possess qualities or a reputation that are due to that origin.

Geographical indications are the marks given to natural products, agriculture, mining and handicrafts and industrial products that stand out with their distinctive feature and identify with the region they are located.
